Rachel: 3 Personas of "S-E-X-Y"

One of my dearest friends, Rachel, has been compared to a modern-day Audrey Hepburn look-a- like.... I definitely think this shows thru in these images.  Rach called me about a month ago and told me she had a project she wanted me to work on with her. This project was to put together 3 very similar but very different concepts of sexy for a band.  The first concept was:

"Powerful and Sexy"

The Second Look was an "Over-sexed Cowgirl"

The Third Look was a "Lonely Housewife"

I'd love to hear what you guys think, if we nailed these image personas or not!

Trash The Dress | Part II - The Muddy Puddle

This Trash The Dress idea sprung from Jim and I taking a walk....so we have a lot of fields around our house that are being dug up and developed and supposedly by 2011 this farmland will be turned into pretty huge Park. Anytime I know land is going to be changed, or old buildings are going to be knocked down, I jump at the chance to preserve these landmarks. Family Portrait Session| Meet The Jacobs

I was contacted by the Jacobs a couple months back to set up a family portrait session and take some candid shots of their adorable son Mason.  Allison, actually saw and liked my work through her cousin Kathi's wedding I shot back in October of 08. (see Marine-Biker Wedding)  While the Jacobs currently live in Maryland we decided to meet up half way in between where we're all located. The outskirts of Harrisburg was the location we zoned in on. As we were researching, we stumbled upon a location that was to die for... The Star barn Complex in Middleton, PA.  Jim and I had a great time running around and keeping up with Mason while it was also fun exploring the grounds with the family. Mommy and Mason were quite adventurous :) Thanks for such a wonderful day to the three of you- AAS & JS

Sneak peak at Baby Shaelyn!

I know everyone has been eagerly awaiting this sneak peek.... I had to post a picture of my so very UNEXPECTED niece.  Shaelyn Keegan (very Irish) was born August 10th & her due date was October 3rd! So she was 2 months premature. Poor little gal didn't even give me the chance to get maternity pictures of mommy's belly before she came out. Right now she has a tube down her throat just to get her through the transition while her lungs are still maturing but they are almost completely there. It's amazing how developed babies are this early on... and I learned baby girls actually develop faster than baby boys; seems to be a pattern. ha ha

Thank you everyone for all of your thoughts & prayers, they were so helpful and everything turned out A-Ok. Special Thanks to Kara for taking care of my sister.

Blessings back to all of you

First shots with the Mark II

Finally upgraded my camera to the Mark II, and had to test it out!   I really think the pictures  speak for themselves. These shots were taken last Friday after the storms had cleared up late afternoon and into the sunset. Watch for videos to be "Coming Soon!"

Carolyn & Matthew

From the first time Jimmie and I met with Matt & Carolyn we shared a bunch of different qualities including the fact that they were very easy to get along with and their wedding photography was one of the most important aspects to them about their special day. It really was a win win situation for us having such excellent clients so eager to help scout out areas for their wedding pictures!  The wedding ceremony was held at Mt. Zion Lutheran in Kutztown, PA and the reception took place at CJ Hummel's in Lenhartsville.
