Peter & Lindsey

Lindsey and Peter ended up havng the best weather and most gorgeous day in October to get married!   The ceremony took place on a Sunday Afternoon at Lehigh Parkway in a grassy area very close to (Bogert's Bridge) and the reception then took place at MELT in The Promenade Shoppes at Saucon Valley. Flowers were done by the very talented Sarah Petryk of Allium Floral Designs.

With not too much time to spare in between the ceremony and reception the Bride and Groom were fine with the Non -Traditional idea of seeing eachother before the cermeony, which to me is really RAD. I snuck Lindsey outside of her parents house and hid her inside the barn, while Jim brought Peter out to stand and wait for her to peak out from around the corner. This idea worked out perfectly.

We then headed over to a location I had been eyeing up for quite some time (actully years of commuting helped me find this location) an old mansion and a collapsed masonry all on the same property known as "Shotgun Lane" (one neighbor has called it to us) right ooutside of Harleysville, PA.

Our Engagement

So here's how it happened... for all of you brides who would like a little insight into  my life!

Jimmie surprised me the night before the last wedding I was shooting in the 2008 wedding season (November 7th to be exact.) We had just come home from the Allentown Brew Works (we had attended a bridal rehearsal.)  I was a little bummed because I had spent my entire summer season shooting weddings, and sharing in everyone else's wedding bliss and kept wondering when's it going to be my turn?  I was laying on the couch and Jim knelt down next to me and started pouring out his heart to me. With a little bit of emotion/ okay almost crying he said "there would be nothing that would make me happier than for you to be my wife" and then he reached into his pocket and pulled out the box!  I had no idea he was really proposing and that this was really happening to me. I kept saying "stop it, stop it" "your not doing this now" ha  and then of course I said "YES" to marrying him. Very casual proposal in our home but also VERY unexpected. It surely made me excited for the wedding I had to shoot the next day!

Yay so our wedding date is April 18th, 2009.
